FERN-C
Sodium Ascorbate

568.18 mg capsule

Vitamin C and Nutrition

Vitamin C is essential for a healthy life. More than 75 years of research supports this, thus making Vitamin C an inescapable part of optimal health.

Vitamin C is important for living organisms since it is an anti-oxidant, and protects the body from oxidative stress. Vitamin C is also important in wound healing and preventing the bleeding of capillaries.

There are over 300 metabolic functions in the body which need Vitamin C. Also, many other essential vitamins and minerals used by the body for growth development are either ineffective, or not as effective without Vitamin C. Most plants and animals are able to produce Vitamin C on their own.

There are some exceptions, however. Humans, unfortunately, cannot produce Vitamin C on their own.
Species which cannot produce Vitamin C on their own require it in their diet.

To sustain daily Vitamin C requirements, humans must look for external sources. Numerous parts of a human's daily diet contain Vitamin C. Rose hip, acerola, Indian gooseberry, guava, parsley, lemon juice, and cauliflower are some examples of food with high Vitamin C content.

The problem is, food which has high Vitamin C content may not be readily available. It is for these reasons that humans need to take supplements to supply their Vitamin C needs.

FERN-C does the work the better than ordinary Vitamin C supplements.

Since FERN-C is alkaline, it is readily absorbed and tolerated by the body. With a pH range of 7.5 to 7.8, one can take large doses of FERN-C without the negative effects of highly-acidic Vitamin C tablets, like gastric irritation, bloating, and intestinal irritation.
